Athena Workshop in Reykjavik, Iceland
In September, 2019, Athena presented a workshop on Self-Harm to psychologists, psychotherapists and Clinical Support staff who work in Crisis Intervention in Reykjavik, Iceland. Athena were invited in recognition of our expertise in this area. The four day trip included a visit to the crisis intervention centre where we spent the time sharing our knowledge and engaging with all staff members. It was heartwarming to experience the dedication and passion from our Icelandic neighbours in providing a service to those in distress.

Athena team present Workshop at Tara Mines, Co. Meath.
In June, 2019, Athena presented a five hour mental health and well-being workshop to a number of staff at Tara Mines, near Navan, Co. Meath.
This workshop included identifying risk factors for those who do shift work and the impact it can have on the individual and their family.
It was an interactive session and we would like to thank the team for their contribution throughout the day.
In preparation for this bespoke training the Athena team spent a morning down below in the mines to experience the environment the miners work in and to speak to staff who work in different sections of the mine.
We would like to thank Dessie Whelan who invited us in to present the training and who is responsible for ensuring the well-being of the staff, amongst other roles.

Congratulations ! Noeleen and Marguerite receive their Masters Degrees
